Getting a new kitchen was a big deal for us. We didn’t hate what we had, but realized that after over 25 years, an update was needed. The first thing we did was select three reputable kitchen remodeling firms. We had them come to our home to look at what we had, talk about what we wanted and give us their suggestions and an estimate. Even before we got the estimates, we had made up our minds that Woodharbor (WH) was our choice. Jammie Pekarek is the design consultant and is great!!! She carefully listened to our wants and needs, made great recommendations and was excellent in follow up and follow through. She established an excellent working relationship with us and was always available to help us move through the process from design to cabinet selection and ordering to scheduling the tear out and finally to construction. She was with us every step of the way. She was very helpful in selecting cabinets, hardware and counter tops. Once the schedule was set and the cabinets were ordered, we had time to get appliances ordered and scheduled for delivery at exactly the right time at the end of construction.

Besides the cabinets, construction was complicated by new water lines, a new circuit breaker and 240V circuit, painting and extensive electrical and plumbing work. Most of the work was done by WH employees. When contractors were used (tile work, painting and plumbing), a WH supervisor was on site at all times. All the WH staff were great and the project supervisor, Dave Clemetson, was excellent!!! He made sure the job ran smoothly and with very little disruption in our lives. There were very few days when nothing happened. From start to finish, there were no hiccups. In the end, it was a job well done and we are very pleased. We would highly recommend WH for any kitchen remodeling project.

Two additional notes.

  • Right before tear out, I decided to have some of the removed cabinets relocated to make a basement kitchenette. The cabinets were saved, relocated, and installed with a new countertop and sink. WH took care of all of this.
  • The new cabinets are excellent quality. They are heavy-duty with soft close and high-quality roller drawers everywhere.

Woodharbor was an excellent company. Their employees were easy to work with, their work skills were excellent and their cabinets are top-notch. We highly recommend Woodharbor.
